Good morning from Heathrow Airport… where British Airways, along with the help of Toronto Airport and Heathrow have snatched away defeat from the jaws of victory.
After a very good segment across the pond on BA98, we landed, and begun our taxi on the ground. Alas – I could see where we were going – to the hard stands.
That’s not too bad providing ground services were organised.
They weren’t unsurprisingly.
Big Trent…Heavy Trent…
Apart from a good 10 minutes waiting for the steps to be attached and the door to be released, there was a drive around Heathrow – Not unexpected, but not welcome as I had a coach connection that was in jeopardy.
No, the thing that really messed things up was the time it took to get from the plane to first bag. 1 hour in total.
Not acceptable in any sense of the word.
And that was for premium luggage. Non Premium had barely begun to unload by the time I got out of the secure area.
If this was elsewhere, maybe it would be acceptable – but not on your home base.
Can do a lot better here people.
