It seems there’s a bit of softness in the Birmingham to Dubai link, with Emirates planning drop one of the three rotations from 1st September 2017
Emirates Boeing 777-300ER landing at Birmingham Airport – Image, Economy Class and Beyond.
At peak, the airline operated three times a day between Birmingham and Dubai using two Boeing 777-300ERs and a two-class Airbus A380.
According to Routes Online, this indicates that EK041/EK042 is being dropped from the timetable between 8th May and 31st May, then suspend from 7th July.
The revised timetable will feature a Boeing 777-300ER in the arriving in Birmingham in the afternoon, and an Airbus A380 arriving in the evening.
The revised timetable looks like this from the 7th June:
EK039 DEPART DXB 07:35 ARRIVE BHX 12:20 Boeing 777-300ER EK037 DEPART DXB 14:55 ARRIVE BHX 19:40 Airbus A380 New timetable starts 7th June 2017 EK39/40 uses a Boeing 777-300ER EK37/38 uses an Airbus A380 Data: Routes Online
We reached out to Emirates on reasons why services were being cut back. At the time of writing, we have not received a comment through their agencies.
For now, there are slightly less choices when flying direct to the United Arab Emirates from Birmingham.
