Last Week at Economy Class and Beyond (3rd January)

03/01/2026 by Kevincm Leave a Comment

As we reach into the New Year, it seems that it’s going to be another rocky year. Let’s look back at some past posts to try to lighten the mood.

It’s time for Last Week at Economy Class and Beyond.

At Economy Class and Beyond, your editor and writer have taken the week to slow down a little, after being people’d out. We’re aiming for normality as people return to the real world next week – but you never know.

TRIP REPORT: Growing Old in Style

Over the festive period, there’s been a lot of putting the bones of this together, as well as trying to wrangle the photos all around from the trip report. We should have two posts next week, maybe three if I can get the images in and labelled up next week.

  • To Heathrow and Cathay Pacific Lounge
  • BA768 London Heathrow to Oslo Airport (Club Europe/European Business Class)

REVIEW 2025

A look back at some of my experiences in 2025, as well as the numbers. Because we all love numbers.

  • Kevin’s Year in Passenger Experience
  • Kevin’s Years in Numbers

Passenger Experiance

  • London City Airport to charge for drop-offs from the 6th January – And it’s going to cost.

New Aircraft News

  • China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings signs for 30 Airbus A320neo family aircraft – Some of the last of the year orders

Pretty Pictures

  • Malaysia Airlines Airbus A330-300 taxiing out of Kuala Lumpur International Airport

Next week

We’re hoping for some normality next week – even if those elsewhere desire something else. So we’re going to continue the trip report to add a bit of lightness in the world, as well as cover the headlines we want to cover.

And hopefully find some positive news in everything.

Until next week – Happy landings!
