According to the airline, the new interior is inspired by Poland’s natural landscapes, with the Tatra Mountains and the glow of the rising sun, reflected in copper and amber tones as an influence. This follows the design language used in the airlines’ lounges.
The passenger cabin was designed by Tangerine, a UK-based agency specialising in aircraft interiors and passenger experience, which worked with LOT to bring the concept to life.
Passengers will travel on new seats offering a six-way adjustable headrest, a 60W USB-C port, a mobile device holder and a range of ergonomic features designed to ensure a high level of comfort, especially on longer flights.

The seats were manufactured in Poland by Recaro Aircraft Seating, using the the Recaro R2 seat for this deployment.
In terms of layout, the aircraft maintains its 3-3 seating throughout the aircraft, with the first few rows having the middle seat blocked.

Izabela Leszczyńska, Director, Product Development and Customer Experience Department, said:
As Poland’s national carrier, we consistently shape the travel experience to reflect the very best of Poland. The design of our cabins and airport spaces draws inspiration from Polish landscapes and aesthetics. A colour palette of deep blues and warm amber accents creates a sense of calm, while the thoughtful use of light enhances comfort and relaxation. The new interior design is more than a purely aesthetic update – it forms part of a cohesive strategy aimed at delivering an exceptional passenger experience
Izabela Leszczyńska, Director, Product Development and Customer Experience Department, added:
Many of our passengers choose LOT because they associate the brand with Polish values and tradition – particularly on routes to and from the United States and Canada. They often tell us that from the very moment they step on board, even on the other side of the world, they feel at home. This is what inspires us to ensure that Polish art, craftsmanship and design, as well as landscapes that reflect our heritage, accompany every journey with LOT. It naturally complements the spirit of hospitality that has distinguished our brand for years.
Matt Round, Chief Creative Officer, Tangerine, concluded:
Tangerine is delighted to have collaborated with LOT Polish Airlines to redesign the flag carrier’s brand experience. The lounges and cabin interior design capture the pure magic of Poland and are the result of taking a bold creative leap from insight to implementation. The first of the new aircraft will fly at the beginning of 2026, opening a new chapter in the airline’s transformation.
Now in the air
The first aircraft with the new interior took off on the 2nd January 2026.
It’s another step forward for LOT Polish Airlines as they have been working through a design language that is going through their lounges and now its aircraft as it seeks to elevate the passenger experience.
The Recaro R2 seat offers comfort, with the six-way headrest that makes sitting back on a seat a little more pleasant on the short-to-medium haul hops, whilst offering useful features such as the PED holder, USB fast charge ports and a cup holder (so you don’t have to deploy the tray to hold a drink).
We’ll have to see how long it takes LOT to complete the deployment, given that they operate 19 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Any changes to the Business Class?
As their business class is a blocked middle seat… not a lot. Except maybe an extra USB-C port to use if the other passenger doesn’t want to use it…
