It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a British Airways Boeing 777-200ER on final approach to Chicago O’Hare International Airport as it completes the trip from London Heathrow.
British Airways has a fleet of 43 Boeing 777-200ER aircraft in its wide-body fleet. The airline also operates the Airbus A350-1000, Airbus A380, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9 and Boeing 787-10 in its widebody operation.
These aircraft link the two British Airways hubs at Heathrow and Gatwick, providing long-haul and intercontinental connections.
The aircraft depicted in this week’s photo is G-VIIN. It was delivered in August 1998 and has remained in the British Airways fleet since then. It has been operating out of its London Heathrow base, operating to New York-JFK and Abuja in recent days.
More Airplane Art next week!
