It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a Batik Air Malaysia Airbus A330-300 being towed to the gate at the KLIA Terminal 1 Satellite, as it is prepared for service.
Batik Air Malaysia operates a fleet of six Airbus A330-300 aircraft in its fleet, which operate mid to long-haul routes on its network. These are supported by a mixture of Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft. These aircraft serve as part of Lion Air’s Group service offerings, operating as a full-service carrier.
This aircraft is registered as 9M-LFH, under Batik Air Malaysia, part of the Lion Air Group. As such, initially, it joined sd HS-LAJ assigned to Thai Lion Air in December 2017.
It was reregistered as PK-LEM under the main Lion Air group in February 2020, spending some time parked up. It was moved over to Batik Air Malaysia in May 2021, where it spent two years before being sent on a charter to flynas.
It returned to Lion Air in October 2023, where it remained for a year. It was then reregistered as 9M-LFH and assigned to Batik Air Malaysia.
It has recently operated from its home base of Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah, Tashkent, Tokyo Narita, Lahore and Dhaka.
More Airplane Art next week!
