It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some more Airplane Art.
This week, we have a United Airlines Boeing 777-200ER, which is unloading at London Heathrow Terminal 2, accompanied by a sister 777 and tails by Thai Airways and Singapore Airlines.
United Airlines operates a fleet of 53 Boeing 777-200ER aircraft in its widebody fleet. The airline also operates the Boeing 777-200, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787-8, Boeing 787-9, and Boeing 787-10 in its wide-body fleet.
Together, they connect hubs across the USA to destinations worldwide.
The aircraft in front is N87001 and is named Gordon M. Bethune. It initially joined the pre-merger Continental Airlines fleet in September 1998. It joined the United Airlines fleet as part of the merger in November 2010, where it has remained since.
It has recently been operating out of San Francisco and Washington Dulles hubs, flying to Sydney, Tokyo-Handa, and Frankfurt.
More Airplane Art next week!
