Qatar Airways is working on its regional operations and strengthening its network, with the reintroduction of services in the Middle East.
Over the past week, the airline has added the following back to its network:
- Dubai (commenced 23rd April)
- Sharjah (commenced 23rd April)
- Damascus (commenced 1st May)
- Bahrain (commenced 1st May)
- Kozhikode (commenced 1st May)
- Baghdad (commencing 10th May)
- Basra (commencing 10th May)
- Erbil (commencing 10th May)
The airline will also reintroduce one-way freighter flights to Baghdad from the 7th May.
The move represents Qatar Airways’ return to the UAE, Syria, Iraq and strengthening its indian network as the airline adapts to current operating realities in the region.
Qatar Airways is in the process of the phased restoration of its global network, with its flight schedule expanding from 16 June 2026 to more than 150 destinations across six continents. We’ve covered some of the destinations the airline is operating in previous posts.
As usual, the airline advises its passengers to regularly check its official website or app, and ensure their contact details are correct and updated. In addition, flight schedules are subject to change or cancellation due to operational, regulatory, safety, or other circumstances beyond the airline’s control.
