Singapore Airlines to add Starlink connectivity for its Airbus fleet

04/05/2026 by Kevincm

It seems another airline has signed up for SpaceX’s Starlink connectivity product, with Singapore Airlines being the latest airline to become a customer.

The enhanced in-flight connectivity for Singapore Airlines customers will be available from the first quarter of 2027, with the progressive introduction of Starlink’s low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite‑based broadband service on board the airline’s Airbus A350-900 long‑haul (LH), A350-900 ultra‑long‑range (ULR), and A380 aircraft.

Interestingly, this is a partial fleet installation, with no news on the substantial Boeing fleet the airline operates (comprising Boeing 737-8, 777-300ER and 787-10 Dreamliners).

With the Starlink constellation made up of over  10,000 satellites, it can deliver multi-gigabit connectivity to aircraft using its Aero Terminal, which can support up to 1 Gbps per antenna. This means customers in all cabin classes will enjoy faster, smoother, and seamless connectivity from take‑off to landing for activities such as video streaming, sharing content on social media, gaming, and sending large files.

Customers in Suites, First Class, Business Class, PPS Club members, as well as KrisFlyer members travelling in Premium Economy Class and Economy Class, will continue to enjoy SIA’s unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi experience on board Starlink-enabled aircraft.

Notably, to access the connectivity, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class customers must enter their KrisFlyer membership details at the point of booking or at check-in. Non-KrisFlyer members may sign up for their free membership online or on board their flight via KrisWorld.com on their personal mobile devices.
