With the return of a Boeing 787-9 from a lease, Norse Atlantic Airways is preparing for a significant expansion of its Thailand program for Winter 2026/27, adding capacity across the UK, Norway and Sweden in response to continued strong customer demand for travel to Southeast Asia.
The additional flights reinforce Thailand’s position as one of the most popular destinations across Norse Atlantic’s network and reflect Norse’s continued focus on deploying capacity where customer satisfaction and demand are strongest.
The expansion includes the launch of a new three-times-weekly service between London Gatwick and Phuket, alongside an increase in flights between Manchester and Bangkok to four weekly services from December 2026.
In addition, Norse Atlantic will continue to service popular Winter-Sun destinations, such as routes between London Gatwick to Bangkok and Cape Town throughout the season.
In Scandinavia, Norse will also boost frequencies on its Thailand routes from both Oslo and Stockholm:
- Oslo – Bangkok: increased up to 5 weekly flights
- Oslo – Phuket: increased up to 2 weekly flights
- Stockholm Arlanda – Bangkok: increased up to 5 weekly flights
- Stockholm Arlanda – Phuket: increased up to 2 weekly flights
Flighta are operated by Norse Atlantic Boeing 787-9 aircraft in a two-class configuration, with various bundling options available via the Norse site.

Expanding services
Norse Atlantic Airways has been working through its “Falcon” transformation programme, with continued improvements in operational performance, strong customer demand, and strong ACMI programme support for IndiGo (amongst others).
This is supported through its 12-strong Boeing 787-9 fleet, along with a share issuance sale and bond conversions, raising USD 110 million in new shares.
For Norse, this is moving equipment onto heavily trafficked winter routes – something that will be welcomed in a traditionally quieter time of the year.
