Thai Airways International has taken delivery of the first of four new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
The aircraft has been delivered on a lease from AerCap Holdings. The new aircraft is the first one to feature GE Engines installed. It was presented to Thai Airways during a special ceremony attended by representatives from THAI, Boeing, GE and AerCap at the Boeing Delivery Centre in Everett, Seattle.
This 787 is configured in a two-class layout with 30 business-class seats and 268 economy-class seats.
This marks the fifth Boeing 787-9 that Thai Airways will operate.

Whilst the first of these aircraft are leased. Thai Airways has many more Boeing 787-9s in the pipeline, both on leases and with purchase, as they boost their 787 fleets, with up to 44 Boeing 787-9 and six 787-10s for high-density traffic.
As the airline adjusts to new traffic patterns and plans, these aircraft will be key, connecting Thailand to the world.
