Emirates continues to expand its retrofitted A380 operations, with Delhi gaining the type from the 25th October 2026.
This will mark the third Indian gateway that features the Airbus A380 on a flight.
The A380 will operate on flights EK512/513 in a four-class configuration, complementing the deployment of Emirates’ retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft, also in a four-class layout featuring Premium Economy, across its three other daily flights.
The move also expands the offering of Premium Economy, which will now be offered on six routes between Dubai and Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Kochi on a mixed fleet consisting of Airbus A380, Airbus A350 and four-class configured Boeing 777 aircraft.
The Airbus A380 is currently operating flights to Mumbai and Bengaluru, with Delhi being the third.
Other changes Emirates is loading include:
- Delhi-Dubai – Four-class service to be offered on all daily services. Premium Economy will feature on EK513 (A380), as well as EK511, EK515 and EK517 (Boeing 777)
- Kolkata-Dubai – From 25 October, Emirates’ daily Kolkata–Dubai service, EK570/571, currently operated with a Boeing 777, will be served by theA350, bringing Premium Economy to the route. EK572/573 will also operate five times weekly on a four-class retrofitted Boeing 777.

More Premium Options
It seems Emirates wants more of the premium indian market, with the expansion of Premium Economy across six of its routes in the country, as well as four-class services, along with the capacity the Airbus A380 brings.
For passengers, that means more choices and on the Delhi route, more seats. For Emirates, it’s more chances to funnel more passengers through its Dubai hub and onward, keeping them in the Emirates ecosystem.
