Last Week at Econony Class and Beyond (25th July)

25/07/2026 by Kevincm Leave a Comment

It’s that time of the week again – we’ve hit the end of the week and almost the end of July.

But it’s time to look back at a week at Economy Class and Beyond.

Farnborough Air Show 2026

It’s been a quiet week at Farnborough – and it shows in the order books, as well as reports of a lot of time between briefings and releases.

Here is our coverage of FIA 2026.

  • Day 1 Digest – First Day Wins all around
  • Day 2 Digest – More Orders Trickle through
  • Day 3 Digest – The Silence of the Chalets

Routes and Networks

  • easyJet to launch three new winter services from the UK – With a return to Kosovo.

Rail

  • New Ticket Gates to start rollout across UK Rail Stations – Because some people will never want to pay.

Pretty Pictures

  • KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Boeing 787-9 lining up for Departure at Chicago O’Hare
  • Iberia Airbus A330-300 on final approach to Chicago O’Hare (published as a certain event wrapped up in New Jersey).

Next Week

We’re deep into the summer holiday season in the United Kingdom, Europe and the Northern Hemisphere, and such I suspect headlines will be fewer than normal as people take well-earned time off and airlines get on with the work of shifting people from A to B.

Although I’m sure there will be plenty of room for shenanigans. There always seem to be,

One thing that will drop this week is my views on the MacBook Neo a few months on and how I’m getting on with it. For those who have those heading back to school. Expect it during a quiet day, and when I get the images shot for this review.

Until next week, Happy Landings!
