It’s Friday, and it’s time for some Airplane Art Extra.

Today’s contribution is from British Airways as Airbus has rolled out the their first Airbus A380 in their house colours

The paint job features the classic red, white and blue… and lots dots to create the Speedmarque and the Chatham Dockyard tail – over 10,000 dots in total.

The Rolls Royce Trent 900 Airbus A380 is completing final testing at Hamburg, with a target handover in July 2013 to British Airways.

After handover there will be training flights, with a commercial launch on the London – Los Angeles run in October and the London – Hong Kong run in November.

    I think the BA livery suits the A380 nicely – breaking up the EuroWhite with the blue belly and that lovely Chatham Dockyard Tail.
