Can British Airways continue to louse up their baggage operations at Heathrow?

30/08/2017 by Kevincm

Easy headline and an easy answer – yes.

Good afternoon from Terminal 5 arrivals where I’m heading into the 40th minute of a wait for luggage to arrive.

Alas, it seems some bright spark decided to load four flights on one belt. So my luggage is currently behind:

  • The Nice flight
  • The Tokyo Haneda flight
  • And our flight from Stockholm.

So the belt is a bit busy at the moment.

Apparently, people travelling and volume of bags was causing an epic slowdown.

Which for British Airways and Heathrow airport is nothing short of a royal embarrassment.

In the end my bag came out around 48 minutes after landing – with Heathrow airport embarrassing itself compared to Stockholm and Singapore by a country mile

Yes – this is a peak time of year for BA and airlines in the Heathrow region as passengers are returning from summer – and this should be a rehearsed drill by now at peak periods.

And apologising due to the high volume passengers doesn’t wash in you writers book.

At all.
