And if you think my luggage is bad… (Thai Airlines Luggage Scandel)

07/01/2010 by Kevincm

The Chairman of Thai seems to forgotten to pay some excess baggage fees…. by about $5000, with a bit of customs fraud thrown in too.

The Thai media and bloggers have been all over this, and after the extended coverage,  Wallop Bhukkanasut, stepped down

The avoidance was on a Toyko-Bangkok, with 30 cases  of luggage being sent. Not only this, but to avoid customs, it was sent to the lost property office to be processed, with a weight of nearly 400kg (with an F class allowance of 150Kg)

Thai Airways is currently overhauling itself after reporting a loss of 21.3bn baht in 2008.

And to think I have the cheek of taking 64kg of luggage and feeling guilty ….
