CO: Flat Seats all done in 777’s, 757-200’s in progress, 767-400’s to follow…

07/12/2010 by Kevincm

Continental have been beavering away since before and after the United merger, and have announced today that their 777 fleet is now totally “flat seat” in Business First.

Continentals Jim Compton says

“These seats are highly popular with customers from all over the world, and we will begin installing them on the rest of our widebody fleet beginning next year”

The seat is also being installed currently in the 757-200 fleet and in 2011, will be installed in the 767-400’s.

With flat seats being the norm in Business class, this is a good sign that Continental might be done before United’s 777 refurbishment.

United have completed their 747-400 and 767-300ER refurbishment with flat seats – which are good for sleeping on – even if the service can be “distinctly average”
