Emirates has withdawn one of its A380 from use after an incident with a catering truck, damaged the right wing of the aircraft.

The truck is a scisor lift truck, and was servicing the top deck of the aircraft during the incident when it failed, and the body of the truck struck the wing – “on the leading edge of the inboard starboard wing and wing root”.

As the aircraft was being serviced, no passengers were aboard. The A380 has been withdrawn pending an examination to the damage.
