BA: Fuel Surcharge on the up.

14/12/2010 by Kevincm

Bad news if you fly BA, as the fuel surcharge (the dreaded YQ) is on the up again by another £10 a sector on long haul services.

Short Haul services are unaffected, but those going the distance, prepare to pay more.

World Traveller (Economy), Less than 9 hours goes from £53 to £63
World Traveller (Economy), Greater than 9 hours goes from £66 to £76

World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy), Less than 9 hours goes from £63 to £73
World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy), Greater than 9 hours goes from £84.50 to £94.50

First and Club World, Less than 9 hours goes from £78 to £88
First and Club World, Greater than 9 hours goes from £98 to £108

This takes effect from Thursday 16th December.

So if you need to do a BA redemption, or to book a BA long haul flight, I’d get booking today/tomorrow…
