Saudi Arabian Airlines to join SkyTeam

11/01/2011 by Kevincm

It seems that “Quality” Alliance SkyTeam is picking up a new member in the form of Saudi Arabian Airlines.

Targeting for a 2012 entry, they will add 35 destinations to the alliance network

Saudi itself is upgrading it’s infrastructure, network and fleet which is due to be completed in 2013. Which will be nice when it happens. This follows on from the codeshare agreements with Air France.

In London, the airline will move to Heathrow T4 eventually (it was due to move last year along with some of the other “non aligned” airlines), thus keeping all the SkyTeam airlines in one terminal.

Now all SkyTeam has to do is overhaul the “image” of some it’s members, it might become a better option in the long-run….
