Like old women who can’t settle an argument without bitching loudly, BA and Unite are at it again – with Unite members voting for strike action.
This is protest at the removal of travel perks from members of staff who went on strike last year and other forms of disciplinary action.
Thankfully, dates have not been announced yet – but you can bet they’ll be soon.
Turnout seems to be bigger this time with 5,751 members vs 1,579 members in favour of further strike action with a turnout of 75%.
For any strike action to formally take place, Unite must give 7 days notice.
BA is planing contingency services at Heathrow when the strike hits – and will be able to run a full service from City and Gatwick, and is aiming to run a full Long Haul schedule and a number of short haul flights from Heathrow.
What else is there to say other than “Here we go again……..”
