BD/LX: More Services to Basel from Heathrow and Manchester – with BMI Metal!

21/01/2011 by Kevincm

It seems BMI is getting busy with its little family at Lufthansa, and taking on BA with a 3 times a day service from London Heathrow to Basel, as well as a service from Manchester to Basel.

This will be operated on BMI Airbus A319 metal, with Swiss Codesharing these flights.

There is the loss of the LCY-BSL service operated by Swiss AvroJets

Service commences on both routes from 29th March – the same date the LCY-BSL Service terminates.

So where has the aircraft come for this? Sadly, it’s one of the old feeder routes that will suffer – London to Manchester which is now downgraded to a ERJ.

Which I’ll write about later on….
