BA: Fuel Surcharge increases again

05/02/2011 by Kevincm

It seems fuel costs are going to be the pain of the year, with British Airways increasing it’s fuel surcharges

The minor bit of good news – shorthaul is unaffected. However, long haul is a different story:

  • For World Traveller (Economy) flights over nine hours, the surcharge will increase from £76 a sector to £88.  On sectors less than nine hours, it will increase from £63 a sector to £75
  • For World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy), flights over nine hours will see the surcharge increase from £94.50 a sector to £106.50. On sectors less than nine hours, it will increase from £73 per sector to £85
  • For First and Club World (Business) flights over nine hours, it will increase from £108 per sector to £125. Sectoes less than nine hours, it will increase from £88 per sector to £105

What can be left to say other than “Ouch”?
