It seems Manchester is the new battle ground of Gulf carriers with the three majors – Qatar, Eithad and now Emirates upping their daily frequencies to this airport.
Emirates is to take it’s Manchester service TRIPLE Daily from 01/05/11.
Now before you get excited, if you’re booking tickets, I’d hang on. Least of all each departure will feature a different aircraft – and that of course means a different product.
The “new” Morning Departure will be an Airbus A330-200
The current Lunchtime Departure will be Airbus A380-800
The Evening Departure to confuse matters further will be a Boeing 777-300ER.
So there’s going to be a mix of aircraft heading out there, and if you’re paying for the more expensive seats – a mix of product that could make your choice for you.
And this will lead to one thing – confusion – something that Emirates do very well sadly as they can roster different equipment for different missions. And then swap it all around…
