According to Lufthansa via Flyertalk, if you’re thinking of using the BMI Operated with a Swiss Code flight (London to Basel) to qualify for Senator Status, it won’t qualify.
Or to copy the post:
Please understand that flights in Economy, Business or First Class – taken between 27 April and 31 July 2011 which are operated by Lufthansa, Adria Airways, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Luxair or SWISS count torwards this promotion. Unfortunately, SWISS flights operated by British Midland cannot be taken into consideration for the Flying Blue status match offer. We hope this explanation clarifies the matter for you.
If you’ve booked BMI operated flights for this run, time to get rebooking. Which is why I went with Swiss – from a different airport. I’d even consider the wetleased services very suspect and personally would not book them (BHX-FRA, MAN-FRA)
More on that tomorrow as the build-up to SEN Run continues!
