D7: Air Asia X is moving from STN to LGW

12/07/2011 by Kevincm

For those of you who love Low Cost Carriers on ultra-long haul routes, Air Asia X is upping sticks from London Stansted and heading over to London Gatwick.

This will be for flights arriving and departing from October 24th, providing better connections to the South East and beyond.

Slots times will be simlar, so check your travel plans – EasyJet is also cooperating and can transfer onto LGW flights (at a cost no doubt).

For those of you hoping for a fare sale to promote this: Bad news – due to taxes heading into 3 figures, there’s not a cat in hells chance of that happening.

Still it’s a small boost for Gatwick. And more importantly for some of us: it isn’t Stansted.
