NH: First 787 trips announced.

25/07/2011 by Kevincm

ANA must be getting a few smiles along the way as it prepares for it’s first 787 to be delivered from Boeing (the fact it is horrendously late is of course, besides the point).

For the first trips, the 787 will be chartered within ANA for a package tour run to Hong Kong. An additional 2 “Domestic” charter runs will also be operated by ANA so people “can experience the 787” – targeting their Mileage Club Members.

ANA are working to receiving the aircraft in September, and having it in operation a month after.

With the announcement of the charter flights, ANA have are deciding on where to deploy the first 787 after delivery – either Tokyo Haneda-Okayama or Tokyo Haneda-Hiroshima.

Well it looks like the Dream in the Dreamliner is about to wake up. Lets hope there are no further nightmares along the way……
