Tiger Airways Australia has been cleared to fly from the 12th August by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority has removed the threat of legal action, and restored it’s operating certificate
The fleet will be shrunk to 8 aircraft in the first instance, and will run limited serviecs in the first instance between Melborne and Sydney. The other two aircraft will be deployed within the Tiger Group.
In addition, whilst service expansion may happen slowly, it is currently limited to 18 take offs and landings per day in August, with a review by CASA if Tiger Australia are allowed to operate more segments.
Crew bases will be consolidated to Melbourne with all other stations shutting.
Is it enough to save Tiger Australia? I’m not sure…..
