Yes, I’m talking about rail again, with the Chiltern Mainline linking Birmingham, Warwickshire, parts of Oxfordshire, the Chilterns and to London partially out of commision for the nxt two weeks.
Routes on the mainline segment between Banbury and London, as well as Bicster North are affected.
The Aylsebury line is also hit as well – check your times, diversions and routings.
The Chilterns are basicly out of action for one of the biggest upgrades to the route ever and to increase the speed of the line, knocking off from nearly 2 hours from Birmingham to London to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Chiltern have published an FAQ and also detailed changes for the next 15 days.
Good luck if you’re travelling on this line the next 15 days – you’re going to need it. I’ll have a review of the “new mainline” in late September as part of a big trip report….
