ZB: Cancels 787 order.

08/09/2011 by Kevincm

It seems Monarch Airlines has been thinking. And when an Airline does that it can never end in good news. Monarch has pulled it’s it entire 787 order citing it wished to “reassess its decision” to purchase, after they re-enforcing their scheduled short-haul operations.

Monarch for now will continue to focus as a holiday airline, and examine their needs from the schedule part as well as their tour operator services.

For now, their long haul fleet remains as-is, with four Airbus A300-600R’s and two Airbus A330-200’s forming the core of the fleet.

Monarch also operates A320’s, A321’s and Boeing 757’s for various missions.
