Free WiFi in London from Nokia

02/11/2011 by Kevincm

If you’re heading into London during the next two months (the great Christmas rush), and are nowhere near a Starbucks (where they’ll offer you Internet Access for free – no Starbucks card required) or a Weatherspoons (registration required, and to be honest crap WiFi in my local Weatherspoons) and need WiFi for some reason, then good news – Nokia of all people are offering free WiFi as part of a trial.

Apart from accepting the T&C’s, its free in 26 locations. The Register has mapped these out.

So the question is why? It’s to gather usage and roaming habits before the “offer a wider rollout”. Expect more of these as we roll further towards the London 2012 Games….
