Transaero orders more aircraft… this time Boeing 747-8i’s….

08/11/2011 by Kevincm

Remember a couple of weeks ago I wrote about Transaero ordering some Airbus A380’s?

Well it seems Transareo are at it again, this time ordering big aircraft from Boeing, with a preliminary agreement to order four Boeing 747-8 passenger aircraft.

Transaero is planing for these planes to be fitted in a four-class configuration with about 460 seats installed.

Transaero is no stranger to Boeing equipment, already operating 747-400’s in the fleet, so this could be viewed as a replacement for some of the existing aircraft, was well as operating variates on the 737,  747, 767 and 777 fleets.

For those of you wanting to plan first flights, there is no date yet set for delivery.
