12/02/2012 by Kevincm

It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for more airplane art.

This week, it’s a Great Lakes Airlines Beachcraft 1900 sitting at Los Angeles International Airport

a plane on the runway

More of course next week!

Whilst I haven’t been aboard a Beachcraft, I’m still of the opinion that Hell is a Bombardier CRJ-200… with a rucksack stuck at your feet.

A few years ago (in the 2000s), I flew in these–Continental Connection 1900 versions–from and to ALB and BOS–getting to SLK (Adirondack Regional Airport) for long weekend vacations. It was an awesome sight at night going into SLK, which basically sits in a bowl surrounded by some of the Adirondack peaks! The cockpit area did not have doors, you could just lean into the aisle to view the landings and takeoffs.
