Airplane Art Extra: Thai Airways International Airbus A380

06/03/2012 by Kevincm

It’s Tuesday, and it’s time for some Extra Airplane Art. Today, it’s a green Airbus A380… with a Thai Airways International tail on it.

This is the first Airbus A380 for Thai Airways, who are due to take delivery in the 3rd Quarter of 2012. Thai Airways are due a total 9 frames from Airbus. The first aircraft for Thai was ferried from Toulouse to Hamburg for outfitting.

Internal plans suggest a reasonable configuration with

  • 377 economy seats on the lower deck
  • 58 economy seats on the upper deck
  • 60 business class on the upper deck
  • 12 in first class on the upper deck

Whilst pretty dense, it’s by no means the most packed plane in the sky.
