The three big Virgin Airlines have finally seen a bit of sense, and fully linked their Frequent Flyer Programmes together.
This includes:
- Virgin Atlantic Airways (Flying Club)
- Virgin America (Elevate )
- Virgin Australia (Velocity)
This means if you’re a member of one of the above programmes, you can earn and redeem miles – and more importantly earn status points when flying with any of the sister-branded airlines.
Points earning across the the different Virgin Airlines has been in effect since August 2011, but this seems to more in the eye flyer who won’t see Virgin Atlantic, Virgin America or Virgin Australia – just Virgin.
So in theory, you could fly Virgin branded airlines round the world now (but operated via different operators), and earn miles and status points whilst doing it (and also checking in with FourSquare and TopGuest to get your extra points…).
If you’ve got a taste for Virgin, this is good news for you.
