British Airways prepares to bring home the Olympic Flame… with The Firefly

16/05/2012 by Kevincm

No, not the Joss Whedon series, but British Airways has painted up another plane to deliver the Olympic Flame from Greece to the United Kingdom – and they’ve painted an Airbus A319 in a complete different scheme to the Olympic Doves that have been flying around.

And I like the colours. It suits the plane nicely for the purpose it’s flying for.

The Firefly will be collecting the Olympic Flame from  from Athens to Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose in Cornwall on Friday May 18 as flight BA2012, to allow the Olympic Torch Relay to begin.
