BMI Diamond Club member? Want Star Gold Back? Air Canada is matching

The matching opportunities seem to be increasing for BMI Diamond Club members who want Star Alliance Gold or Silver back.

Already, there are reports of Aegean Airways, Turkish Airlines and Aer Lingus matching – well it’s now the turn of Canada with their offer.

You’ll need to join Aeroplan first, and follow the instructions.You have from June 15 to July 15 2012 to take advantage of this  offer.

Diamond Club Silver will match to the 2012 Air Canada Prestige status, whilst Diamond Club Golds head to 2012 Air Canada Elite status.

  • Your request must be submitted between June 15 and July 15 2012.
  • To be eligible, you’ll need to be an Aeroplan member.
  • You can expect to receive your new 2012 Air Canada Top Tier status within 6 to 8 weeks.
  • The 2012 Air Canada Elite or 2012 Air Canada Prestige status will be valid until February 28, 2013.
  • Any Miles accrued with your bmi Diamond Club membership will not be transferred into your Aeroplan account.

How to request your Air Canada Top Tier status match:
Submit your request between June 15 to July 15 2012, by email statusmatch.canada@aeroplan.comthe following information:

  • Your full name
  • Your current Diamond Club membership number
  • Your Aeroplan number.
  • A scanned copy of your current bmi Diamond Club membership card. Please make sure the name, status and expiry date are clearly visible.
  • Your consent to the Terms and Conditions related to this offer.

Of course there are terms and conditions….

  • This offer is open to current bmi Diamond Club Gold and Silver members only.
  • The online request must be received between June 15 and  July 15 2012. Applications and/or copies of bmi Diamond Club membership cards that are received after July 15, 2012, 23:59 UTC will not be eligible for this promotion.
  • You must submit your status match request along with a legible copy of your current  bmi Diamond Club card by email.
  • bmi Diamond Club Silver status will be matched to 2012 Air Canada Prestige status, and bmi Diamond Club Gold status will be matched to 2012  Air Canada Elite status.
  • Any Miles accrued with your bmi Diamond Club membership will not be transferred into your Aeroplan account.
  • The 2012 Air Canada Elite or 2012 Air Canada Prestige status is valid until February 28, 2013.  To learn how to qualify for 2013 Air Canada Top Tier status.
  • Terms and conditions of the Air Canada Top Tier Program will apply.
  • Upon verification of the request, Air Canada reserves the right to deny the status match
  • Air Canada reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion without notice.
  • Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery of your Air Canada Top Tier status package upon submission of your application and copy of your bmi Diamond Club membership card.
