ANA has confirmed the first six routes to get its new Premium Economy seats.
The routes and start dates for the new seats are:
- Tokyo Narita – New York JFK from 29/08/2012
- Tokyo Narita – London Heathrow from 14/09/2012
- Tokyo Narita – Frankfurt from 30/09/2012
- Tokyo Narita – San Francisco from 01/10/2012
- Tokyo Narita – Los Angeles from 11/10/2012
- Tokyo Narita – Paris CDG from 21/10/2012
The seats themselves look rather tasty for a Premimum Economy Seat

So what’s the benifits of Premium Economy on ANA?
- Own mini-cabin
- Seat pitch at 38″
- Configured in 2-4-2 layout, with 19.3″ seat width
- Seat configured with foot-rests and leg-rests as well as larger head-rests
- The classic PE Cocktail table
- Front row configured with 12.6 fixed IFE screens, all other PE Rows have 10.6 seat integrated IFE screens, with Apple “Dock” connectivity (for iPhones, iPods, iPod Touches and possibly iPads).
- Power at seat and USB Ports too.
It looks a nice product – and considering it’s ANA, I’d expect it to be delivered very well.
Booking on the new seats opens tomorrow (21st June 2012)

Let’s not forget that PE passengers also get sparkling wine, and (wait for this) soup, during meal service.

I’ve been waiting for someone to say that. All I can say is…
Souper.
