Even though British Airways has said “Don’t Fly” in their latest advert to the British public during the London 2012 Olympic Games, they have a nice offer going on if you have to get on a plane.
If you are:
- A United Kingdom BA Executive Club Member (so no EuroCheats or other members)
- Flying from the UK during the London 2012 Olympic Games between 27th July – 12th August,
- And Registered for the promotion
There’s a chance for Extra Avios, dependant on Team GB’s performance that day. The highest medal gets you extra Avois.
So for example:
- If TeamGB gets a bronze medal that day, you get 250 bonus Avios.
- If TeamGB do better and get a Bronze and a Gold Medal that day, you get 1000 Avios.
There is a chance to double your bonus Avios if a Team GB athlete sponsored by BA. Yes, it’s not a lot of bonus avios, but it’s still better than a poke in the eye – and as we all know, every point, mile counts.
