As we build up to London 2012, the Olympic Torch Relay passed near where I live. Well, down the bottom of the road where I live.
And there was a change over point.. here!
And then came the outriders…
Then the first part of the convoy with the torchbearers and torches.
The next torchbearer would be Joan Lewis – mother of British Heptathelte Denise Lewis OBE who won Gold in Sydney 2000.
And now… the relay party meets…
… with a heavy escort…
… and the previous torchbearer coming to “kiss” the other torch and light that torch on its next leg as it heads towards Birmingham.

GhettoIFE will NOT be doing blow-by-blow Olympic coverage (you’ll be glad to hear!), however I will be keeping an eye on travel related stories (such as wait times, immigration times, congestion at terminals etc) and if I hear of any travel news stories, I’ll try and get them here.
