Time for another 787 update. Firstly, United Airlines have updated how their Boeing 787-8’s are going to look. Alas, no tulip to return, not nice conservative blue with a gradiated tail. Instead, it’s still the old Continental colour scheme with a swoosh on the side of it.

Very Swooshy. For those who remember the pre-production test frames of the 787, this swoosh should be familiar as it is the same one that graced the test aircraft – but in a much nicer colour scheme.
As we all are aware, the United 787 will be configured in with 36 Business Class Seats in a 2-2-2 configuration. Economy Plus makes up nearly half the cabin with 63 seats, whilst Economy is 120 seats in the hell that is a 3-3-3 configuration on a semi-wide body.
Meanwhile, Ethiopian is showing off a planned internal shot of their upcoming 787’s.

Whilst not revolutionary, it does look pretty enough. The plane will be configured in 24 seats in “Cloud 9” business class (and from the looks of the above picture, in 2-2-2), with 246 economy seats down the back. By my basic math (and guesswork), that has to be 3-3-3 configuration down the back.
Ethiopian airlines are expecting their first 787 to arrive in August, with a total of 10 on order.
