Update from AA: Oneworld Lounge Access has NOT Changed for Emerald/Sapphire, Mistake on Oneworld site.

An update on the story yesterday  when I worte “American Airlines to withdraw lounge access to Oneworld Elites on US Domestic/North America itineraries?”Well this just came through the Twitterstream:

a screenshot of a social media post

For those textually inclined:

  • @GhettoIFE We’re working with oneworld to correct the policy message on their site. We appreciate your understanding.
    Expand
  • @GhettoIFE Non-AA oneworld Emerald & Sapphire members still have access to the Admirals Clubs in North America regardless of itinerary.
    Expand
  • @GhettoIFE There has been no change to the Admirals Club policy regarding non-AA oneworld Emerald & Sapphire members.

So to reiterate: NO CHANGE IN POLICY!

That’s great news. I’d hate to see OW go the way of Skyteam.
