British Airways and Japan Airlines to commence Code Share/Joint Ticketing Agreement on 1st October

Japan Airlines and British Airways have tied the knot over a Joint Ticketing Agreement/Code Share Agreement between London Heathrow and Tokyo Narita/Tokyo Haneda routes.

Reciprocal coding and the JTA commences on the 1st October 2012.

Combined, JAL and BA will offer 19 return flights a week on a combined frequency:

Tokyo NRT/HND to London Heathrow

BA006/JL7081 DEPART NRT 10:55   ARRIVE LHR 15:10 DAILY
JL401/BA4601 DEPART NRT 11:45   ARRIVE LHR 16:20 DAILY
BA008/JL7083 DEPART HND 06:25   ARRIVE LHR 10:35
                                Op Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun

 London Heathrow to Tokyo NRT/HND

BA005/JL7080 DEPART LHR 13:30   ARRIVE NRT 09:05 DAILY
JL402/BA4602 DEPART LHR 19:15   ARRIVE NRT 15:00 DAILY
BA007/JL7082 DEPART LHR 19:15   ARRIVE NRT 15:00

Also, fares are now joint, with JAL and BA’s prices now matching – and allows you to take one airline out, and take another airline back (eg JAL out, BA back) on all fare classes (as opposed to using the top fare buckets), as well as expanding choice for your flights.
