It’s Sunday again, and it’s time for a little bit of bittersweet airplane art.
Today marks the end of operations of bmibaby when Flight WW1082 from Prauge touches down at 22:15 BST at Birmingham Airport and Flight WW5330 from Malaga arrives at East Midlands Airport at 22:45 BST.
Here’s some pics from Birmingham Airport, Belfast International and East Midlands Airport.

bmibaby in its final days operated a fleet of 12 Boeing 737-300’s and 2 Boeing 737-500’s – with a staff of 500 or so now facing redundancy.
Squeezed from the bottom by Jet2, EasyJet and Ryanair, from the top by the charter airlines of Monarch and Thomas Cook, and from the side by FlyBe, bmibaby never really stood a chance and failed to make a difference out in the marketplace.
Thanks little Baby – time to get some sleep now.
