Estonian Air is to relaunch its services from 1st March 2013 with the establishment of a route between London and Tallin whilst dropping the existing London Gatwick – Tallin route at the beginning of the Winter 2012/2013 season.
The new flights will commence in and out of Tallin to London City on the following schedule:
OV101 DEPART TLL 07:30 ARRIVE LCY 08:20
OV102 DEPART LCY 08:50 ARRIVE TLL 13:30
Booked Equipment: Embraer E-190
Commences: 1st March 2013. See below for days of operation
The service will build up from a 3 day operation to 6 times a week from the following days

- 2nd May 2013 – Operates Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- 1st June 2013 – Operates Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday
It seems the expansion is coming in the form of the E-190’s Estonian Air is receiving.
CEO Tero Taskila says:
“London has been an important destination of the Estonian Air’s network and we wanted to improve the current schedule with two weekly flights with more frequent one. The start is tied to the delivery of the new Embraer E190 jet.
Flights to new London City Airport with more frequent schedule giving our customers greater choice when travelling between Tallinn and London.
“I would like to stress that our new flight plan suits considerably better the business travellers by making the connection between the two capitals not only more frequent, but also shorter in duration.”
Making a move into London City with a small jet is a pretty good choice – with a quick turnaround and a small terminal, it should appeal more to business travellers more than leisure travellers – still the comparatively early and departure times should help tourists and weekend trip visitors.
Estonian Air is linked up with SAS Eurobonus for those who collect points.
And speaking of London City Airport, I’ll have some very interesting titbits from there soon. To drop a small hint, look out for a very special set of posts in October….
