Cathay Pacific is upgrading its Regional fleet of aircraft to feature a new business class cabin, and a new business class seat.
The seat will offer a 47″ pitch and a 21″ width in a shell seat design. But how does that look in the flesh?

Well… it is green.
Seats are controlled with independent controllers controlling recline, legrest and a moveable headrest. For those of us who take things with us and want use them on the plane, there’s a multiport connector for Power, and USB Power. iPhone/iPod/iPad users who want to take advantage of watching their content on the big screen will be happy you’ll be able to connect up your device to the IFE (a 12″ AVOD product vs a 6-9″ screen) which will be Cathay’s Studio CX system.
The seat in use – note the tray table extending from the shell seat in front.
So, it’s not a bad project for regional hops. Just not something you’d want on a long haul flight during the night.
You’ll find the new Regional Business Class product will be intalled aboard all
- Regional B777-200’s
- Regional B777-300’s
- Regional A330-300’s
Rollout commences with the 777’s in January 2013, and the first A330-300 being completed in Q4 2013 with a completion date of the end of 2014.
