Kingfisher hopes to resume flying next week

05/10/2012 by Kevincm

In what should be no surprise to … well – anyone, Kingfisher Airlines failed to take to the air today.

The airline is hoping to resume flights next week.

A mixture of staff confrontations, strike action and management locking out the airline hasn’t helped things – with Kingfisher grounded since Sunday.

The airline is in the process of trying to reach a settlement with staff who have not been paid fully for about 6 months.. and seemly have failed again.

Prakash Mirpuri, vice president of corporate communications at Kingfisher Airline says

“We regret that the illegal strike has still not been withdrawn and normalcy has not been restored in the company, thereby continuing to cripple and paralyse the working of the entire airline”.

Mirpuri hopes Kingfisher to resume from the 12th October.

The question that now remains is a simple one? How many more knocks can Kingfisher take?

Like I wrote on my blog today, they can’t take off so soon after a 2 week closure. consider this the beginning of their end.
