American Express offers £25 on a £50 spend this weekend in Oxford Street

21/11/2012 by Kevincm

A lot of frequent flyers end up with an Amex card of some sort in their pocket (me excluded, but that’s a personal issue between me and American Express), and occasional, they have reasonable offers.

Their new offer focuses on  the West End of London shopping Area (where if you’re going there in a weekend before Christmas period  is a bit mad, but each to their own…)  on the 24th and 25 November.

To coincide with the West End VIP day (24th November) -where Oxford Street and Regent Street are closed to traffic, American Express is running a promotion where if you spend £50 in one of the 405 shops in the following streets, you get a £25 credit on your next statement:

  • Regent Street
  • Oxford Street
  • Old Bond Street
  • New Bond Street

Up to 405 shops are taking part, with the street closure on the Saturday (24th), and the “Spend £50, get £25” offer running on the Saturday and Sunday (24th/25th).

You’ll need to pre-register for this promo at amex.co.uk/shopwestend and find out more about the West End VIP day at http://www.westendvip.com/vipday/

This is limited once per Amex Card, with supplementary cards on accounts can get multiples of the offer.

Valid for the following UK Card holders with cards issued by the following:

  • American Express Services Europe Limited,
  •  Lloyds TSB Bank plc
  • MBNA Europe Bank Limited

Not valid for any of the following though:

  • American Express Corporate Cards
  • Gift Cards
  • Prepaid Cards are not
  • All non UK issued cards are excluded too.

It’s a good offer if you have planned spending in this part of London on an Amex card – but my personal advice if you are to do this would be to get into the West End before 9am, and be out by 11am. After that – that end of town will go mad.

Happy Shopping!
