Priority Club messes again with reward nights

07/01/2013 by Kevincm

It seems Prioirty Club is having a ball with the free nights you can redeem with according to https://secure.priorityclub.com/hotels/us/en/global/offers/freehotelnight.

From 18th January 2013, a new price banding is coming out:

Or for those textual inclined:

  • Band 1  – 10,000
  • Band 2  – 15,000
  • Band 3  – 20,000
  • Band 4  – 25,000
  • Band 5  – 30,000
  • Band 6  – 35,000
  • Band 7  – 40,000
  • Band 8  – 45,000
  • Band 9  – 50,000

Data: https://secure.priorityclub.com/hotels/us/en/global/offers/freehotelnight.

However and annoyingly – they won’t release which hotel goes into which band until this takes effect on 18th January 2013 (meaning you’ll have to do a lot of digging to find what hotel costs what).

ICGH are making an offer for those who don’t take advantage of the old prices.  According to the site:

If the hotel that you originally planned to book now requires more points, simply call the to reserve your Reward Night and ask for the original point price.  This offer is valid through March 18, 2013

This is similar to last years price rises where some properties changed band or changed price. What the big difference this year is – is the different amount of bands that are appearing.

Whilst it should be easy to guess which property goes where in the grand scheme of things, I’d expect rooms at popular destinations to go up. Again.

If you need a hotel in the Priority Club brands, I’d get it booked sooner rather than later, rather than deal with the call centre…
