Hawaiian Airlines to add A321Neo’s to fleet

26/03/2013 by Kevincm

It seems Hawaiian Airlines has caught the Airbus narrow body bug, with the announcement of a firm order of 16 Airbus A321neo aircraft.

Hawaiian airlines will have options for another 9 aircraft on top.

The aircraft will have 190 seats in a two class layout.

Deliveries will be between 2017 and 2020.

Hawaiian airlines will be targeting these birds for use between the islands and the United States West Coast – which should fit the range profile of these birds nicely.

Hawaiian Airlines have turned to Airbus a fair few times recently, with them operating Airbus A330’s, as well as orders for A350 aircraft.

Hawaiian also operates Boeing 767 and Boeing 717’s for island flights.

HA is nice, but i’d fly them more if their premium product is a bit more “aspirational” and their mileage accrual with the Big 3 is a bit more comprehensive.
